Na 6 not having been allowed to participate in the races for weeks (bird flu) We were allowed to race our pigeons again at the Natoer last weekend. They were 6 boring weeks that fall in the middle of the racing season and in which you are not allowed to race pigeons.
Saturday 17 Boxmeer was on the program in August, this would be approx 100 km are for our pigeons. Because it was expected that unloading would not be possible there, the IBW advised to choose a western unloading location. That is why the pigeons were transported to 's-Hertogenbosch. This was a distance from 135 km. Unfortunately, this meant that the distance became longer. For inexperienced young pigeons this is a tough flight, partly because the wind came from the NE.
We have all our old hens (23) and all our young pigeons (53) basketed. A nice number in total 76 pigeons. For the old pigeons this is a normally nice flight, but for the young pigeons it would be quite a tough flight.. The release was already over 9.15 hour. According to the release committee it was a great departure. Always nice to read that they leave well.
The first pigeons would reach a speed of around 75 km per hour. And so it happened. Around 11.00 hour the first pigeons had to arrive. There came 2 flew in at exactly the same time. With our decoy already in hand, it was released at the right time so that 2 pigeons have not lost a second. From 1e dove, from 23-9037033 was clocked at 11.01,08 in the 2e dove, from 22-8162035 turned around 11.01,09 of the antenna. Both pigeons contain a lot of blood from Ad Schaerlaeckens' pigeons. From 22-8162035 has been in the results very early several times.
The other old pigeons came back really well. They had also trained well last week. The young pigeons took a while, but they eventually came back quite well from their first big release.
We had a place in the association 1 t/m 9 (See results) and almost all old pigeons early in the results. In the Rayon against 2887 we had room for pigeons 1 in 2. Great and that after them 6 have not been allowed to participate in the races for weeks. Immediately back on the top spots. Also place 6 in the Rayon was for one of our pigeons, from 23-9037091.

In the department 9 North against 13.187 pigeons, our pigeons were in place 2 in 4. What a beautiful achievement.
The young pigeons turned out reasonably well in the end, so we will be back at around 70 Pigeons can basketing.
