Are both members of the "PV The Swallow" in Oldenzaal. René (43 year) started racing pigeons and has been a member since 1984. In 1990 Peter (47 year) joined in and we went on together under the "User. van Langen ".
René is engaged with feeding every day, care and releasing pigeons. Peter takes care of cleaning the cages on Saturday, administration and training flights of pigeons. On the day of basketing together decided which go with it, and these are basketed.

In 2011 We were 1st at the Preferred Speed Championship in the Department 9.
In 2012 we were 2nd at the Unassigned Speed Championship in the Department 9.
Speed Championship consists of Vitesse, Youngsters and middle distance flights.
It is open to us all Vitesse, Midfond, Day long distance flights and Youngsters. We play with 27 racing couples and a few hens that are at the breeding cocks. Playing flights on double widowhood. This means that we are up 58 Pigeons can basketing. The first flights we play everything and slowly the number of pigeons that are less. In general, the females perform better than males. We play because we all like to see what all pigeons can perform. It is done by selecting at the end of the season, therefore, mainly for performance and thereafter from time to time on origin.
We have a loft of 17 meter long and 3 meter deep. Therein 9 compartments 3 for widowers, 1 for the widow hens, 2 for the youngsters and 3 For the breeders. For each pen is an aviary where they can go all day.
Besides the racers we have approximately 25 breeding pairs, approximately 50 breeders.
We grow whatsoever about 80 youngsters for ourselves. After many joint training flights by a number of enthusiasts from our village we usually start with about 60 youngsters to the first young bird races. In recent years we hold between 40 in 50 Young pigeons. Then there are selected and go there about a 35 youngsters in the loft for the coming year. The youngsters are raced from the first duvenvlucht on the door.
The old racers anniversary this year alone from 1 in 2 year old pigeons. We believe that you get the best results with these pigeons.
The pigeons strain of origin is made up of Jansen pigeons in 1994 on a sale purchased. In addition, our forefather "The Magic Man" 96-1580149 from continuing. In 2007 we bought a few pigeons from Jan van de Pasch (Grubbenvorst) and from 2009 annually between the 5 in 10 pure Heremans-Ceusters pigeons via K. en K. Meijers Ootmarsum. Linking the pigeons we always do around the January 15. We link then all breeding and racing pigeons. The first eggs of the breeders are then shifted to the racers.
