Saturday 24 August 2e Afternoon flight from Luyksgestel over a distance of 166 km.
We basketed everything again and this time there were some 23 hens and 46 youngsters, a nice number of them in total 69 pigeons.
The solution was 09.40 and with a southerly wind the speed of the first pigeons would be around 100 km per hour.
Unfortunately, the pigeons always go west when they are released, then with a southerly wind, a western release and with the mass of the pigeons on the west side of the department, all the leading pigeons on the west side of the department enter. And if only the distance 161 km is coming 2 pigeons from our association among the first 1300 pigeons from the department. Unfortunately that is no different.
We therefore had to wait a while, but then the 1e pigeon was there, the other pigeons followed very quickly. The young and old pigeons also came home nicely mixed together.
In the association we had the 3e, 4e, 5e, 7e in 9e (See results) and further 18 pigeons in the first 29 in the association. In that respect, once again a super result. This time all the pigeons have returned, we had there 69 along and sat there in the afternoon 70 in the cage. So another one from last week had returned.
Next Saturday there will probably be a northerly wind so that the speed will be around 70 km per hour will be. That will mean that they will arrive from Bierges approximately 3,5 hours to fly.
