Saturday 31 August again 3e Afternoon flight from Bierges over a distance of 242 km.
All hens (23) and all the young pigeons (48) went on the flight again, a total of 71. That is 2 more than last week. Die 2 have returned from the 1e Flight into nature. The solution was 9.00 o'clock and there was a strong NE wind. So it wouldn't be easy, but our pigeons came back really well.
After almost 3,5 hours of flying, they flew back home one after the other. The first 2 were together and these were both young pigeons. For the first time this year that the young pigeons were earlier than the old pigeons. From 24-8148852 went over the antenna so quickly that we had to take it out of the cage again, hence this one 44 seconds later than the 24-8148845 who was now first on the results.
This time we had a result that we have never had before. In the association we 16 pigeons in the first 18. We also had the 1e, 2e in 3e in the association (See results). In the first 40 of the association were counted 29 pigeons from us. Unfortunately, things didn't go so well for other enthusiasts, but for us they turned out very well.
Our pigeons were also doing well in the district and had many pigeons early in the results.
Next weekend a flight from Marche over a distance of 261 km. Once again the wind is coming from the wrong direction (LIKE THIS) so that there can be no question of very early pigeons in our department. We should try again to get many early pigeons in the association and the district.
